There's currently a lot of talk about the potential that PV solar panels have to save electricity costs. With the government's energy feed-in tariffs, an attractive return on investment can also be made. Eco Building Products and partners Lark Energy have already completed a number of PV installations, the latest being at a farm building in Lincolnshire.
Lark Energy has completed an 18.9 kWp PV installation on a farm building in Lincolnshire. The installation consists of 82 Schott 230w moncrystalline modules. The components were sourced by Larkfleet Group company, Eco Building Products, and were installed by Lark Energy's MCS-accredited partner, Cawood Electricals.
The completed PV array is now providing power for the farm's agricultural activities including grain drying, helping to reduce energy costs and CO2 emissions. It also provides a reference site to demonstrate the potential of PV to Lark Energy's agricultural partners and clients.
